How and why it works.
Giggg is based on Scott Donnell's philosophy for teaching kids the value of money by focusing on creating a healthy relationship with finances and fostering a legacy of value creation.
Allowance creates entitlement and doesn't teach children the real-world value of money or how to create value. It disconnects money from effort and value creation, potentially leading to poor financial habits later in life.
Chores are part of being a contributing family member and shouldn't be directly tied to payment. They teach responsibility, teamwork, and the importance of contributing to the household without expecting monetary compensation for every task.
Paid "gigs" or extra tasks beyond regular chores teach children about value creation, entrepreneurship, and the connection between effort and reward. This system allows children to earn money through additional work while maintaining the expectation of contributing to the household through regular chores.
